TRIVAX: THE SERPENT'S GAZE CD EP digipack
Formed by guitarist / vocalist Shayan, TRIVAX began life in the late 2000s in the hugely historical yet equally restrictive location of Iran, a country whose laws regarding music – and especially genres such as metal – often lead to legal punishment, imprisonment and even death. Relocating to the UK, Shayan would find a like-minded ally in bassist Sully, a musician who himself left the nearby Syria due to facing jail for his metal associations. Completing this power trio was the undeniably talented British native M. Croton, a drummer with many years of experience under his belt.
Having earned a fearsome reputation and formidable following in recent years – not least due to stellar performances with such quality acts as Grave Miasma, Winterfylleth and Beyond Man – the band have crafted a wealth of new material, easily their most sophisticated and potent to date. The Serpent's Gaze EP / mini-album is the first manifestation of this, featuring 24 minutes of potent and epic black metal, housed in a lovingly crafted digipack sleeve with exclusive artwork courtesy of Manuel Scapinello.
The Serpent’s Gaze features guest appearances from Wraath (Behexen, One Tail One Head, Beyond Man), Naut (Winterfylleth, Necronautical) and J.Wilcox (Funeral Throne, Master’s Call) as well as a luxuriously illustrated digipack.
